I have been doing some research in order to discover any natural cures for bph.  My husband has been taking the medication prescribed by his doctor, but we are concerned with the side effects he is experiencing.  So far I have found that many people advocate the use of saw palmetto to treat an enlarged prostate since its anabolic properties aid in the elimination of DHT by lowering the patients estrogen levels.  I have not found any reports of side effects associated with the use of saw palmetto.  I suppose we should speak to the doctor and see what his opinion is regarding this treatment.
