When I took my last vacation in Costa Rica, I really lucked out. I stayed at an upscale hotel, the Alta Hotel just outside of San Jose. This hotel was really neat because there are tour specialists right on staff. They were able to plan several outings to nearby attractions that really made our vacation in Costa Rica memorable. My favorite outing was to the Butterfly Farm which was only 25 minutes away and simply beautiful. The tour specialists on staff at the Alta Hotel are wonderful. Our vacation in Costa Rica would not have been the same without them.
